(Toronto, June 2nd, 2008) – In support of Big Brothers and BigSisters of Toronto (BBBST), on June 5th 2008, the 38th Annual Big Night Out superhero gala will celebrate the heroes who make a difference in the lives of so many children and youth in our community.
This fantastic night taking place at Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex will be hosted by Rick Campanelli and Kim D’Eon of Global’s Entertainment Tonight Canada. Guests will enjoy cocktails and a decadent dinner, while having the opportunity to bid on one of a kind silent and live auction items as they share a little magic and enable children to grow and succeed for a better future. The evening includes entertainment by 2008 Juno award-winning artist for best R&B: Jully Black along with Suzie McNeil, Wade O. Brown, Rex Goudie and Sharon Riley and the Faith Chorale.
In Celebration of the many heroes at BBBST, a special presentation will honour the 2008 Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the year award recipients and their Little Brothers and Little Sisters.
“This annual gala is about celebrating the heroes who make a difference in the lives of our children – one hour, one day at a time,” says Cathy Denyer, President of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto. “We couldn’t offer our programs without our volunteers and our generous sponsors. This night is to celebrate so many accomplishments.”
