GOLFING “FORE” THE KIDS
12 straight hours of golf benefits Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto
(Toronto, July 4th, 2008) - On Tuesday, July 8th, over 40 golfers will watch the sun rise and set at the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto’s 11th Annual Golf Challenge. For 12 straight hours these golfers will putt and swing to raise funds for the well known mentoring agency.
This annual event is fun for the participants and the Bigs and Littles as Big and Little golfers will have the chance to practice their putting skills at a special Golf Clinic. During the 12 hours of golf, players can relieve their aching muscles with a massage from In My Hands at the clubhouse. Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto will award the day’s special players, donors and sponsors during dinner at Mackenzie Hall.
Right now there are 365 children and youth waiting to be matched with a mentor. The proceeds raised at this event will help fund the matching of kids in our community with a Big Brother or Big Sister. Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto gratefully acknowledges the support and contributions of the events sponsors, donors and guests.
