Scotiabank Presents The Big and Little Celebration of Friendship Picnic
Big and Little Superheroes Celebrate the Power of Friendship! (Toronto, June 11, 2008) - Friendship can have a powerful impact on a child’s life. Thanks to the generosity of Scotiabank, over 300 Big Brothers and Big Sisters (Bigs) will celebrate the power of friendship with their Little Brothers and Little Sisters (Littles). This year’s Celebration of Friendship Picnic, being held on Saturday, June 14th, has a superhero theme as Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto considers all volunteers and children in their programs heroes. We expect to see many dressed as their favourite superhero as they have fun in the sun!
Bigs and Littles will enjoy games, crafts, goodies, caricatures and a lunch big enough to feed the hungriest of heroes. A special guest that spins webs will entertain all - Spiderman will make an appearance to sign autographs and meet our Bigs and Littles. Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto invites the media to come out and have some fun in the sun as we celebrate the power of friendship!
