The Big Bunch Program: Gain a Mentor and a New Friend!
Each child (between the ages of 8-12) is assigned to a site, and every two weeks they meet up with other matches also placed at that location. This creates a small community of matches who spend 2 hours doing theme-based activities together on a biweekly basis.
Activities are based on themes, and fluctuate between recreational, educational, and creative. Examples of themes include: sports, nature, science, the Arts, culture.
The Bigs at a site accept full responsibility for collaboratively pre-planning all themes and facilitating activities at meets as a site team.
This is a site-based program – Each match’s time together is limited to that spent at the meeting site, and direct transportation to and from that location. Occasionally Big Bunch matches may attend optional
BBBSTspecial events.
