The School-based Program is operated by Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto in partnership with the Toronto District School Board and Toronto Catholic District School Board in local schools. Big Brothers and Big Sisters do activities with their Little Brothers or Little Sisters one-to-one at the child’s school. Meet your Little Brother or Sister at the same time, once a week throughout the school year, during school hours and on school property. Activities such as games, crafts, sports, reading and using the computer help develop your relationship with your Little Brother or Sister while fostering their skill development, confidence, interest in learning and the importance of education. • One hour a week • September to June • During school hours on school property | "As a school-based Big Brother, my time has been well received by a young fellow named Aston and the rewards for me, well, they're immeasurable. My one hour weekly visit is easy to schedule and a great break in my day. It's fun for both of us."
- Paul Snack, Big Brother |
