Media Launch
On Tuesday, January 8th, Big Brothers and Big Sisters (BBBS) of Toronto, Peel and York launched our biggest fundraiser – the 36th Annual Bowl For Kids Sake (BFKS). BBBS friend, Toronto Raptors Joey Graham supported this BIG cause and traded in his basketball for a bowling ball, playing alongside BFKS Honourary Co-chair Jennifer Valentyne, police representatives from the GTA and “Big” and “Little” bowlers. For the first time in Bowl For Kids Sake’s history, bowlers had the opportunity to virtually strike out with Nintendo’s Wii Bowling video game and a chance to win a Nintendo Wii system in the grand raffle.
Media & Corporate Day
BBBST headed to the alleys again on February 2nd at Thorncliffe Bowlerama for Media & Corporate Day, striking out with over 250 of Toronto’s media and corporate sector. Big Sister Rose Marie and Little Brother Danny rolled the first balls kicking off our exciting fundraiser! Wii continued to be a huge hit as bowlers took to the sidelines and competed for the best score, winning some great prize.
