School to Work

STW2017 good news story2

The School to Work program has started something BIG!

This past summer, 20 of Toronto’s youth were inspired to find their passions and envision their desired career paths. Youth were able to gain valuable skills through mock interviews, resume writing workshops and an interactive mentoring experience.

One of the highlights of the week was a hands-on job shadowing experience across 13 workplaces of their choice. Thanks to our many community partners, our youth were encouraged to DREAM BIG and set new goals for their future.

One youth from the STW program said: “I learned a lot from the people that we got to meet. I have truly discovered more about me and what I truly want to do in the future. I have a change in mindset and I am so grateful I got this opportunity to learn from everyone I met.”

We want to take the time to thank the organizations who made this year’s program possible! We truly could not have done it without you.
